hand and heart intensive at Bunya

This morning we got up quite early

I made lavosh
While Roz set the table
We laid another table with materials for class
And we prepared some good food

It was a marvellous day. People sat about and stitched, then (when they were ready) they bundled
And put things in this pot
With spectacular results.
A good day was had by all, methinks.

  1. Today is my wedding anniversary. The advantage of living with the same man in marital harmony for 17 years is that he has brought me your two books as a gift today!

    1. Absolutely...we made a four course lunch so people could nourish their inner bear while the cauldron was doing the magic on the bundles.
And we had so much fun that Roz has decided she's going to come to South Australia and be my co-pilot when I'm cooking for Sandra Brownlee's class in October!

    2. It's a tweaked version of one devised by my daughter Violette...which, with her permission, will find itself slipped into the novel I have been wrestling with for some years now :-)

    1. I could see us having a similarly enchanting day (or days) at Inverness
On that lovely deck with the woodpecker sculpted apple tree
And water music from the wee flume...

  12. *intensive* is right ... for I think if this retreat had been 3 days long you might have found your peeps all a'swoon on the floor by the end !

May wish to add smelling salts to the supply lists in future ;>]]

    1. Who needs smelling salts with the fragrance of eucalyptus wafting from the cauldron? :-)

    2. Oh, there is that, you are right 'cept certain parts of the whirled wouldn't have that option .... you know, them non-euc growing parts .... might need alternatives there?

    3. I'm thinking cedar...or end-of-season oak leaves that smell of vanilla and citrus
Or a fragrant dyebath composed of lavender and lemon balm...just thinking of them sends my mind down the garden path ...

    4. dang fine alternates ... think that about covers the whirled, my friend !
